Opportunity: Senior Distribution Manager

Location: Europe (Outside Portugal)
Contract Duration: 6–9 Months (Possibility to be formally contracted in the end of this period)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Distribution Manager to join our team on a temporary assignment. This role is designed for a professional who can start by providing strategic consultancy and training to our teams, gradually transitioning into an operational leadership role to drive implementation and continuous improvement. The candidate will be leading and optimizing a warehouse and transportations operations, ensuring seamless distribution processes across our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a consultant and trainer, guiding teams in best practices for warehouse management and transportation logistics.

• Conduct in-depth analyses of current processes and identify opportunities for optimization across distribution operations.

• Train staff on using advanced tools, such as WMS (Warehouse Management System), and ensure a smooth transition to new workflows.

• Develop and implement tailored strategies to enhance inventory management, transportation planning, and cost efficiency.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align distribution strategies with broader supply chain objectives.

• Gradually assume a leadership role, overseeing day-to-day warehouse and transportation operations during the implementation phase. 

Requirements:

•  Extensive experience in warehouse and transportation management, with a strong focus on consultancy and training.
• Expertise in implementing and optimizing tools like WMS, IBP, and related logistics systems.

• Proven ability to analyze workflows, design solutions, and train diverse teams. 
• Fluency in English (spoken and written). Spanish would be a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Availability to work on-site in Europe for 6–9 months.
